chetan bhagat in his third book, after five point some and one night @ call center, continues to impress. He doesnt seem to get bogged down by expectation generated by two earlier books rather it seems thats what drives him.
this book is a witty tale of three best friends having different passions residing in amdavad area of Gujrat.
govind wants to be a businessman, ishaan enjoys cricket more than anything else and omi whoz pretty laidback though seems to be very much impressed with hindutva.
the story starts with all three wanting to earn some money to be independent and beautifully engulfs the bhuj earthquake and Gujarat riots. the three of them prove to be the pillars of strength for each other.
ishaan who provides cricket coaching finds a child prodigy Ali, who seems to be the next best thing that could happen to indian cricket after tendulkar. ishaan is intent on turning him into a first class cricketer even if it means spending his share of profit on a muslim guy.

chetan bhagat wonderfully brings out the ethos and isolation of an entire generation to the fore.
