Deeply involved in a new novel i happened to look outside to realise how beautiful the weather outside had become. It was just few minutes back that the sun was blazing with all its glory.
lost in reverie perhaps initiated by the cool breeze flowing or by the spatter of rain drops i realised it is one of those moments in which u cant help exulting with joy claiming life is beautiful.
now all i felt was like having an unlimited supply of tea at my discretion.
rising from the couch and making my way to the gallery i asked my mother to fulfill latest of my ill timed demands .
with an impish tone she asked me"..ahaan...and what are u gonna do?"
" i'll make myself cosy in the bed" i replied and started moving towards it.
i was left flabbergasted when i noticed my mom make a sudden move and before i could contemplate she had made her way to the bed i was supposed to be in.
with innocence she asked me" now may be u can make me some tea and please put elaichi in it..will u..thank you.." with this she pulled a blanket to her face.
i moved towards the kitchen murmuring " ges i was too fast in saying that..may be life isnt that beautiful". a statement which i was soon going to realise was wrong.
i came back with the ' elaichi waali chai', which my mother accepted very gladly.
she took a sip and nodded which to me suggested that my effort was not in vain.
i was again busy having my tea and looking towards the sky day dreaming only to be interrupted by some noise.
as i returned to earth i noticed my mom coiled up in my bed snoring.
i looked at her and my eyes were stuck on her face.
the baby like expression clearly stated that she also needed it badly.
i just smiled, picked up the crockery and told myself " see, life is indeed beautiful".
